Virus Insanity Eyeshadows; New Logo!
So I haven't been on top of things lately, I know! I have severely been lacking in the posts department lately.
Remember me mentioning that I was working with the owner of Virus Insanity Eyeshadows? Well, a few weeks ago she released the new logo! So here she is, the gorgeous VIE girl. I believe there are plans to name her sooner or later. :) I may also be working with her again during the Christmas break ^_~. The jars are in the universe now! First Jenni printed our girl out the day after I sent her the full graphics, bringing at least 100 jars with her to a little hometown expo where she nearly sold out. And now people are receiving the gorgeous girl. Oooh I just can't wait to receive my package!
After her logo, I made one for Simply Sweet Skin :) If I go by what my mom says, she and my cousin love the icon, telling me that she thought it was adorable and very professional looking. Sweet, just what I was going for! :)
Now I'm working on a blog logo for fellow nerdy blogger, The Beauty and The Games. So I've been a busy, busy girl between school, tutoring other students, and drawing logos!! Hopefully I shall be able to post some more in the upcoming weeks. :) I have many a lost look stored up!

Thinking Pink for Team Pink Eye! :)
So far, week one went great, 300 dollars and several give-a-way winners! For every Friday this month participating bloggers are posting our pink looks to show we are "Passionately Pink." These giveaways are all sponsored by Team Pink Eye, through donations from many indie companies, and all donations go straight to the Susan G. Komen foundation. The giveaway I'm participating in was sponsored by Darling Girl Cosmetics!
DGC created an adorable pink eye shadow just for these giveaways, Twin Peaks! A gorgeous, shimmery light, lavender pink. If you don't win, for the entire month of October DGC will be donating 25 cents from each sale of Twin Peaks to the charity. This giveaway closes at 10pm CST on Sunday, October 16th, 2011. Winners will be picked up random.org and notified by Monday October 17th, 2011. Be sure to check out the Team Pink Eye blog to see the winners!
Entry requirements; To enter ALL of the giveaways for the week, not just mine, a 5$ donation is required to the team (done here!). After you donate, please leave a comment on this post, and leave your name and email address, be sure to use the same name when you donate/comment here so that we can keep track and match everyone up appropriately. To see the other bloggers who are doing giveaways, check out the Team Pink Eye page!
Here is my pink look for the week, I went soft and sweet with it, using Mew by VIE, Starlight Honeymoon Therapy and Rainbow Moon Heartache from Persephone. :)
*Giveaways are sponsored by Team Pink Eye and respective sellers. Susan G Komen is not sponsoring the giveaways. All procceeds collected for the giveaways go directly to Susan G Komen Positively Pink for the Cure.

Tutorial- Rainbow Gradients part 2
So yesterday I did the pink to blue gradient, today I have for you the yellow to red gradient. I think this came out really cool even without further blending, it looked like a golden fiery wing. Totally awesome :) Can't wait to replicate this one for a going out look. As I was doing this though, I found that I do not have a very good, bright orange. I love the color I used, I just didn't have something that could compete with the red.
I started out this eye the same as the other, Foiling Jazz and then Super Sailor Moon by Persephone. This is a light, shimmery yellow, really gorgeous. I didn't spread this one out as much as the pink-blue gradient, and kept it tighter on the inner eye.
Then I applied a brighter yellow, Usagi, also by Persephone, next. I applied it on a narrow tornado shaped band, wider at the top and bottom with a blended strip between them.
Next I applied Venus Crystal Power, with a little bit of another TKB kit orange that was slightly darker. This I applied more in a large boomerang around Usagi.
I confidently skipped a step with the photos, I thought I had gotten each one but I was wrong, sorry guys! What you didn't see was me apply Princess Mars, Persephone, around the edge of the orange. I left a small triangular space to put the next color, Love Bite by VIE. I curved that down the edge of my eye and again repeated the colors along my lower lid.
All cleaned up, like I said, I thing it looks awesome, but I need a bright orange. :)

Tutorial- Rainbow Gradients part 1
So recently I went over to my moms house for food and pool time, and had two of my best friends over. We splashed around and one complimented my makeup and was curious how to do it, so I decided to make a tutorial on it, since it's another one of those looks I do all the time. I like having rainbow eyes :) So here I have a pink to blue gradient, and a yellow to red gradient. We'll start off with the pink-blue for part one, and the yellow and red for a part two. Here we go!
I have no photo for my first step, but I clean my face up, and then I apply a layer of Candy's Sweet Treat's Foiling Jazz. I know that's not how most people use it, but since my shadow stick ran out a few weeks ago, that's what I've been doing and it seems to work fairly well, so I'm gonna keep on until I get a base/primer! I let it set until it feels just the slightest bit tacky, then I go to work. If something gets too tacky before I get to it, just the tiniest bit of dampness on a pinky lets it get sticky again. Allright, so then..
I started out with VIE Mew, it's light, but you should be able to see that I followed the contour of my eye and I wanted this look to be big, so I went much further over my crease than I normally do. I pulled this color out to cover about half my lid, I'll be blending on top.
In a fan shape I spread out a second darker pink, Swoon by Facebomb Cosmetics. I try and blend into the lighter pink. I pull the dark pink along the edge, creating a very slight crease line above the light pink.
On top of Swoon I start brushing on Vicious, also by FC. Again, I'm following a sort of boomering shape in my blending, I didn't want straight lines between the colors, but a soft curve that sort of mimics natural shadows.
Again, I add a darker color, this time Harlette by VIE, just along the edge of Vicious. Still following my boomerang curve. I also keep curving the outside edge in a similar shape to my eye with a more rounded, flared outer corner.
Finally I add The World by VIE to the corner, finishing the shape around my eye and blending down around the corner of my eye. Then in the same order as on my lid, I spread the colors below my eye, blending out into The World.
Product; I could have blended more, but I was trying to show the basic shapes I apply before I go in and blend the crap out of it. :)
